Downstream Supply Chain

The processes of product distribution and delivery to final customers take place at this stage. Activities in this section include packaging, transportation, and storage. This supply chain ends when the product is delivered or consumed.

Difference Between Supply Chain and Value Chain

In a value chain, in addition to transferring products, adding value to the product is considered one of the company’s primary objectives. The flow of the supply chain moves from the source toward the customer, while the value chain flows in the opposite direction.
