When fully ripe, the fruit turns dark yellow with brown spots and becomes juicier and sweeter. Its flavor is often described as a combination of apple, pear, grapes, and citrus fruits. Unripe star fruit is firmer and more sour, with a taste similar to green apples.

Pitaya | Dragon Fruit

Pitaya is a unique cactus fruit available in various colors worldwide, including white, purple, red, and the rare yellow variety. Its texture is similar to kiwi, but it is generally considered sweet. The flesh can be eaten raw or used to prepare beverages.

The flowers of the dragon fruit plant are unique, reaching about 25 centimeters in diameter and up to 30 centimeters in length. One of the special characteristics of these flowers is that they bloom for only one night. Dragon fruit has a shape similar to a baseball.

The most common varieties have white, red, purple, or yellow flesh, with hundreds of small black seeds inside. Among them, red or purple dragon fruit is more popular and is usually sweeter than other varieties.
